FOLLOW THE SPIRIT
And throughout all their journeys whenever the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle, the
sons of Israel would set out; but if the cloud was not taken up, then they did not set out until the day when it was taken up,..
Exodus 40:36-37
Being
led by the cloud by day and the pillar of fire by night was truly a miracle of the Lord. Father God was wanting to show His people that He loved them by giving them His presence that they could see.
He was also giving them the gift of knowi
ng when to go and where to
go by the cloud. They were led by His presence in the cloud.
Similiarly, we today are led by His presence. When Jesus died and was resurrected, He ascended into heaven. Then He sent the Spirit to be in our heart. For us who believe and receive, His Holy
Spirit will live in us to be a guide for us. We can pray for His will in every situation, and the Holy Spirit will guide us.
As we
walk with the leadership of the Spirit, we learn how to "hear" His voice. We learn how to step in faith according to His direction. If we are missing direction, He will gently lead us back to the
true path. But as we grow in faith, we begin to hear His voice more clearly.
What a
joy to hear God speak in our heart! What an assurance to know that Father will speak into our life to lead us! Saints, let us learn to hear and follow the Spirit!
