GOD'S
GREAT LOVE
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from
the wrath of God through Him!
Romans 5:8-9
Love expressed by word only does not allow one to know the depth of the love. But, when
love is expressed through word and action, then we can be sure that the love is genuine and true.
As Paul stated in these verses in Romans, God has not only stated His love, but He has
shown His love in His actions. He sent His only Son to die on our behalf. We did not ask for this to be done, but He did this so that we would not have to suffer His wrath as a sinner against Him. As
the word says in John 3:16, "For God so loved..." His love was and is so strong that He takes the first step in loving His people. He did not ask if we loved Him, He provided for any who would
receive Him.
For those who, by faith, believe that Jesus did die for them; for those who believe that
His blood is sufficient; for those who believe that the God of the universe would express His love so greatly, then His salvation is available. We need only to receive His love, repent of our sins,
and live as His children in obedience to Him. Then we can have the promise of eternity with Him in His heavenly kingdom! Hallelujah!
