FATHER REVEALS HIS PLAN
For all the prophets and the Law prophesied until John. And if you care to accept it, he himself is Elijah, who was to come. He who has ears to hear, let him hear.
The word reveals the present and the future through type and shadow of the past. Jesus said, "If we have ears to hear..." We should not hear nor read the words of our Father without hearing with discernment. For He speaks what is to come, and HE has spoken of it in the past through the things written in the word of God.
As we read the word, be open to allow Holy Spirit to speak regarding what He is doing by what He has done in the past. This is called "type and shadow." The situation about which you are reading might have application for the present. It is a "type" of the things which God is going to do.
These things also serve as a "shadow" of the things which God is doing through the circumstances. He does many things in order to show to future generations what will occur based on what has already been done. So, this is the "shadow" of what will be!
Praise be to our God for what He reveals!
