THE
WORD AS FIRE
"I have come to cast fire upon the earth; and how I wish it were already kindled!...
Do you suppose that I came to grant peace on earth? I tell you, no, but rather division."
Luke 12:49, 51
But now I come to Thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they may have My joy made full in themselves.
John 17:13
The word of God which Jesus brought forth as He was in the world truly brought division. To
those who believed and received the word of God, He brought life and peace. The word was one of joy as the truth of God. To all who received the word, it brought eternal life in
Him!
But, to those who did not receive the word, they brought opposition and denial. They
remained as they were, still looking for a messiah and without much hope. They stayed locked in their religious doctrine and refused to believe the living word. The same became true for the Gentiles.
Some joyously received His truth, and some did not. Those who did received life in Him!
Sadly, saints, this is still true today. Some will joyously receive and some will not. But,
for those who do, the hope of eternal life will burn brightly in their hearts. The joy of peace in Him will glow brightly. Let us let His truth shine from us so others may receive and live in His
joy. His love will make our joy full!
