THE CARES OF THE WORLD
"And
other seed fell among the thorns, and the thorns came up and choked it, and it yielded no crop.... And those are the ones on whom seed was sown among the thorns; these are the ones who
have heard the word, and the worries of the age, and the deceitfulness of riches and the desire for other things enter in and choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful."
Mark 4:7,
18-19
These
are the words of Jesus as He shared the parable of the sower and the seed. He mentioned 4 type of seeds. The ones of which He spoke in these verses were sown in thorns. The cares of the world and the
riches of this age (the thorns) kept the word from producing.
Jesus
said that the word was choked out. When we allow the cares and the circumstances of the Cyworld to ent
er our heart, it is easy to
allow His word and way to be in second place. We let the things of the world (age) to become more important. When we do so, the purpose for which Father called us is also choked
out.
Saints,
we must determine at the beginning of pur walk with the Lord not to allow this to happen. The lusts of our flesh and/or the temptation of the enemy can cause us to trip and fall. We must determine in
our hearts that this will not (must not) happen. We must earnestly strive to keep Father and His plan for us in the forefront of our walk with Him! As we do, great fruit will be brought
forth!
