THE WAYS OF THE LORD
Make me know Thy ways, O Lord; teach me Thy paths. Lead me in Thy truth and teach me, for
Thou art the God of my salvation; for Thee I wait all the day.
Psalm 24:4-5
When we commit to the Lord, the first step is to learn His ways; His truth. To come to the
Lord, we learn that we must repent and turn from our evil ways. Repentance means that we stop our old way of life and go in a different direction. We are not to live, act, or speak as
formerly!
In Christ Jesus, we become a "new creature" and cannot remain as we were. We must
learn new ways to walk and behave. Yet, how are we to walk? How are we to behave? We must be taught. God will bring those into our lives from which we can learn. They will teach us through word and
through example.
We must also begin to read and study His word, His logos word of the Bible. As we read and
study, Holy Spirit will open the scriptures and teach us of Christ and of His Kingdom!
So, we will have Godly brethren, and we will have the Word! But He will also bring to us
anointed teachers of the Word! These He will use to instruct us in the deeper things of God. They whom God has anointed will be the apostles, prophets, pastors, and teachers of the body of Christ. We
all need to be connected so that we can grow and learn His ways!
