The Book of Acts is aptly named. It was written by Luke to record the "acts of the
apostles." It is very important that we recognize that the book shares more than just the acts of the original apostles. It also shares the stories of many other Christians and how their actions
advanced the kingdom. We need to be reminded of this so that we cannot say "I can't do that!"
In all three of these situations, the direction was to "arise", "arise", and "get up". This
was a call to action. Get out of your chair!!
The second command was an even greater directive, "go!" Saints, if we are going to carry
out the directives of the Spirit in our lives, we must understand that we have to "go."
Jesus, before He ascended said, "Go you into all the nations and
proclaim...." We must get up, go, and proclaim!
Apostle James
