TO THE NEXT
GENERATION
....seeking to know what person or time the Spirit of Christ within them was indicating as He predicted the sufferings of Christ and the glories to follow. It was revealed to them
that they were not serving themselves, but you, in these things which now have bee announced to you through those who preached the gospel to you....
I Peter 1: 11-12a
The return of Christ in all of His glory is the one thing so many of us would love to see as it
happens. We have listened to others preach of it. We have some try to predict the time but to no avail. But, yet, we desire to see the promise of our Lord come to pass.
However, it may not happen in our lifetime here upon the earth. It may come at a later time. It
may come still many years in the future. It will be glorious regardless of the time. We want to see it and we want as many others as possible to see and to witness what we long to
see.
With that thought in mind, we must be reminded of what Christ told the disciples when He
ascended. He stated, "Why are you standing gazing into the sky? Go back and tell others of the kingdom!" We must remember that we cannot become caught up in watching for Him. We must be preparing
others, the next generation, of the glory of Christ and the kingdom! Let's be preaching and demonstrating His kingdom for many to come!
