                          WATCH WHAT YOU SOW!

For the one who sows to his own flesh shall from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit shall from the Spirit reap eternal life. And let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we shall reap if we do not grow weary.
                                                                              Gal 6:8-9

The process of sowing and reaping is an age old statement about much more than just seeds and wheat. It is an adage that is used to describe the actions of people and many other things. In this situation, Paul used it to discuss the things of the Spirit versus the natural things.

We know from the word of God that we have been saved from our flesh. The works of the flesh have been crucified by our death in the cross of Jesus. Yet, if we do not continue to crucify the flesh each day, we can still indulge the flesh. So Paul is encouraging us to sow into the Spirit instead of the flesh. What does this mean? We must be intentional in our actions!

We must evaluate into what we are sowing when we do things. We must be careful that our actions will bring glory to Jesus and the kingdom. If we do this, then we will reap the eternal life to which we have been called. And, we cannot lose heart. That is, we must continue in our quest to be pleasing to Father and do the things that please Him! As we do this, we will be sowing into the Spirit which will bring eternal life! Prasie God and honor the Son!!!
