THE TRUTH OF
GOD
Therefore God gave them over in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, that their bodies might
be dishonored among them. For they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen!
Romans 1:24-25
The lusts of our hearts will keep us from the truth that is in God our Father. There is truth
and there is the lie. The truth that is from Father is reality and is eternal. It does not change be-cause He does not change. His truth brings life! If we walk in His truth, then our lives will be
what He created us to be. We will accomplish our purpose for this life!!
However, if we allow our earthly nature to rule our minds, then we will miss His truth. Our
corrupt mind, soiled by the inherited nature of Adam, will keep us from His truth. As the word in Romans 1 says, "He gave us over to the lusts of our own mind (hearts)." He then states what is the
most damning accusation. We chose to ex-change the "truth" of God for the "lie". We chose to worship the creature (us) instead of Father.
When we place ourselves above God, then we will never reach the true purpose for our lives. We
will fall short because we do not follow the only truth - His truth. Our lives will face frustration instead of fulfillment. Today, saints, choose to follow His truth and glorify Him! We will be more
blessed for doing so!
