ONE IN HIM
I
do not ask in behalf of these alone, but for those also who believe in Me through their word; that they may all be one, even as Thou, Father, art in Me, and I in Thee, that they also may be in
Us; that the world may believe that Thou didst send Me.
John 17:20-21
It is Christ's great hope that His body, the church, would be one in Him! He is wanting to
build a church without spot or blemish. When we have schisms and divisions over traditions, doctrine, or other issues, then we are not one. In this nation, there are denominations, sects, and other
groups that have split over verses and/or tenets of faith, and even wording of the different transla-tions of the bible. We will never be able to be the bride of Christ if we continue in these
divisions. We cannot be an overcoming army when we are so divided. We will not overcome the kingdom of
darkness if we cannot come together!
But, Christ said, "I will build My church!" Though it may seem impossible, His body, the
church, will become one. She will be a mighty army. How? We will come together when the fire of Holy Spirit begans to burn the dross out by trial! The day of the testing is coming! Saints, we must
prepare to overcome tradition, interpretation, or other differences. Put all aside for the sake of His kingdom. He will raise up His bride. She will be the perfect bride overcoming all the enemy's
onslaught for His glory!
