FAITH NOT FEAR
"There's no need to bother the Master any further. Your daughter has passed away. She's
gone." When Jesus heard this, he turned to Jairus and said, "Don't yield to your fear. Have faith in Me and she will live again."
Luke 8: 49b-50
How many times in the scriptures has God said not to fear, but to have faith! Yet, we
seemingly do just what He said not to do. Our faith gives way to our most fleshly emotions.
But, as Jesus told Jairus, we must not yield to our emotions of fear, but we must stand in
faith and believe. Even when the circumstances seem to defy our faith, yet we must stand and believe.
To do this will take the courage to stand and decree when all seems lost. We must teach
ourselves and practice standing. As Peter did when he first got out of the boat, he looked at Jesus! Only when he began to look at the waves (circumstances) did he begin to sink. Even then Jesus
reached out and saved him!
Yes, we can believe for the greater! Our faith will increase as we stand in the smaller
situations and see His salvation! Let's grow so that we, too, can say to the situation, "I believe!"
Apostle James
