                     ETERNAL TRUTH

     So Jesus said, "I speak to you eternal truth. The Son is unable to do anything from himself or through his own initiative. I only do the works that I see the Father doing, for the Son does the same works as his Father.

     In the Passion translation, the statement of Jesus concerning "eternal truth" is made. Now this statement is not found in some other translations, but a statement with the same implication is found in Matthew 7:24-25. The truths of God through Jesus Christ are the words upon which we can build our lives and know that they are true and will be true in every situation through all time.

     In today's society, there is a humanistic belief which says that "each man should determine for himself what is true for him." (See Judges 17:6) When man places his opinion on the same level as God's truth, man exalts himself to be equal to God! Man's wisdom is lacking and is used for personal pleasure and personal gain. It can vary and create great problems for mankind. But, God's truth is eternal and will bring righteousness into each situation! Believe Him!
