YOUR
DAUGHTER IS ALIVE
While He was still speaking, someone came from the house of the synagogue official, saying,
"Your daughter has died; do not trouble the Teacher anymore." BUT when Jesus heard this, He answered him, "Do not be afraid any longer; only believe, and she shall be made
well.
Luke 8:49-50
Have you ever been in a situation where you need an answer quickly? You need the situation
corrected soon, or it will be too late for saving. In the case above, the man's daughter was dying. Jesus was coming to heal the child. But, due to other circumstances, Jesus was delayed. Your answer
didn't come concerning your situation just when you wanted it to come. It appeared to be hopeless!
Yet, Jesus spoke into the situation and said to the man, "Do not be afraid! Only believe!"
In moments when the situation seems dire, can we believe for the impossible? Will our faith grow to match the need? If we fail to believe, will we see the miracle we need? These are questions that we
must answer. We must be able to see above and beyond what others might see. We must be willing to believe for the impossible.
According to Hebrews 11, faith is the substance of things hoped for. We must believe that
Jesus can bring the answer. We must believe that our situation can be solved by God's great power! Believe for the impossible!
