                         WHAT IF WE SAY "NO"

And Mary said, "Behold, the bondslave of the Lord; be it done to me according to your word." And the angel departed from her.

                                                        Luke 1:38

And Joseph arose from his sleep. And did as the angel of the Lord commanded him, and took her as his wife and kept her a virgin until she gave birth to his Son; and he called His name Jesus.

                                                         Matthew 1:24-25

These two people became the earthly parents of our Lord Jesus. They will always be remembered for all time because they were obedient to the word of the Lord for their lives.

When Mary was pregnant, it was extremely shameful for a woman to be pregnant outside of marriage. She had to determine in her heart if she would do as the angel said. She couldn't say, "Let me pray about it first!" Her obedience had to be given at that moment! Her decision was "yes." Because of her faith, she responded in this way.

Joseph was also faced with a great decision. He had to be willing to take Mary as his wife even though she was already pregnant. Not only did he agree to do so, but he also kept her a virgin until after she gave birth. He was willing to obey even though it would mean being the father of a child that was not his.

In our walk, we must be willing to obey! Be prayed up and be able to recognize His voice! Our obedience can mean great things for the kingdom! Hallelujah and PTL!
