UNDER GRACE, NOT
LAW
For sin shall not be master over you, for you are not under law, but under grace. What then? Shall we
sin because we are not under law but under grace? May it never be! Do you not know that when you present yourselves to someone as slaves for obedience, you are slaves to the one whom you
obey.
Romans 6:14-16a
When
Jesus came and died on the cross, He gave His perfect blood as a sacrifice to Father for our sins. Because He lived a perfect life, Father saw the blood and removed our sins from us. This great love,
on the part of both Father and Jesus, gave us the opportunity to live with Them in heaven for all eternity.
However,
now that we have received Christ as our savior and our Lord, we are to live our lives in obedience to Him. We are to strive to live a perfect life without sin because Jesus does not want us to
sin. We are to live a perfect life by the grace of our Lord. His grace is sufficient in all things.
However,
some want to say that if they do sin, that is fine because they are under "grace." Saints, that is not His desire. As Paul said, "Shall we sin because we are under grace? No!!!" If you sin knowingly
and call for God's grace to cover it, you are wrong! God's grace keeps you from sinning. It doesn't allow you to sin! Present yourself to God and not to the enemy!
Apostle James
