BLESSED ARE HIS
PEOPLE
How
blessed are the people who know the joyful sound! O Lord, they walk in the light of Thy countenance. In Thy name they rejoice all the day, and by Thy righteousness they are exalted. For Thou art the
glory of their strength, and by Thy favor our horn is exalted. For our shield belongs to the Lord,
Psalm 89:15-18a
We have been truly blessed because the Lord has come to seek and to save us. He came and knocked
on the door of our heart! Our only recourse, when He entered, was to fall to our knees and to confess our sins. We then could ask Him to save us so that we might live again through Him! That is the
joyful sound which we as Christians hear! That is the sound of our Lord as we "walk in the light of His countenance.
We can rejoice all the day because of great love with which He touched our hearts. He came and
gave us the right to be the children of God! O hallelujah, for our God reigns. In His strength we can overcome the power of the enemy and our own flesh! We can walk triumphantly in Him and the power
of His Holy Spirit!
As verse 17 says, "By His favor our horn is exalted." We walk with Him and are lifted up by His
strength and love! We can walk in victory. The life we now have is because of the love of our Father through our Lord Jesus Christ! Let us rejoice and be glad in it!!
