WALK IN
HIM
As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk (lead your life) in Him,
having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established in your faith, just as you were instructed, and overflowing with gratitude.
Colossians 2:6-7
You received Christ Jesus as Lord and Savior of your life. Now walk in His teachings. You
were firmly rooted with a deep, strong root which holds you firmly in your faith. Now you are being built up in Him and being established in your faith.
These are the basics for receiving Christ and then continuing to walk in Him. We do not
want to turn aside to the left or to the right. We do not want to stop our journey with Him. Therefore, we must do these things.
First, we must receive Him as Savior and Lord. He must be first in our lives. He has died
for our sins, and reconciled us to Father. We must thank Him by conducting our lives in His way by our faith in Him, being deeply rooted so that nothing can prevent us from following
Him.
And we must be built up in Him and established in our faith by learning His ways and seeing
how to honor Him by obeying His voice. We can learn from those more established in the faith as they teach us and prove to be an example. In this we grow and flourish for His glory.
