THE KEY OF FAITH
Even so
faith, if it has no works, is dead, being by itself. But someone may well say, "You have faith, and I have works; show me your faith without the works, and I will show you my faith by my
works."
James 2:17-18
There is
a saying that says, "You speak loud with your mouth, but whisper with your deeds." That saying is based on these verses. To sum up what both are saying is simply that you cannot prove what you
believe by simply saying it. You have to show your belief by what you do.
In the
life lived for our God, we must not only say what we believe, but we must live it out through our lives. We cannot say that we have faith to believe Father for His dellverance if we do not begin to
act upon that belief. As we act, then the Lord will open the door. As we step out in faith, then the divine answer is given or shown to us. Our action is the faith, and His approval of the action is
His response that wins the war.
We, as
His children, cannot sit and wait. Just as Moses had to stretch out his rod in faith to part the sea, so we must "stretch out our own rod of faith." If you have a situation, and you believe He has
given you the answer, then begin to step in the direction given. If He needs, He will gently correct your steps. But, following His will, watch with great excitement as His power brings you the great
victory you need and that will glorify His Son, Jesus!!
