THE TRUE WORD OF
GOD
And for this reason we also constantly thank God that when you received from us the word of
God's message, you accepted it not as the word of men, but for what it really is, the word of God, which also performs its
work in you who
believe. I Thess. 2:13
Receiving the message of God is the first step in becoming that which He has purposed for
you. What is that message? It is that God so loved the world that He sent His Son to seek and to save those who would follow Him. Also, that as they received Jesus, they would begin to know and
realize the plan that Father had for His kingdom and the purpose for which He had called them into His kingdom.
First, though, is that one has to receive His word as being His word to you as an
individual. He sent His Son to save you for His purpose. As this begins to sink into your spirit, then His word begins to transform you.
In another passage of scripture, it says that "it is God who is working in you both to will
and to do of His good pleasure." That work is the result of a message heard; a study of His logos; even a prophetic word spoken which works in us.
His word is alive and does its works in those who will receive and begin to do. As one
does, then the word produces even more fruit in us for His glory and for our good!
