PASTOR' WHOEVER IS FOR THE LORD
Now
when Moses saw that the people were out of control - for Aaron had let them get out of control to be a derision among their enemies - then Moses stood in the gate of the camp, and said, "Whoever is
for the Lord, come to me!" And all the sons of Levi
gathered together to
him.
Exodus
32:25-26
The
people of Israel had left the Lord and had gone to worship a golden calf. At a moment when they should have been clinging to God in hope, they abandoned their God.
But then
Moses came with a question! He asked them to make a decision. If you are for the Lord, then come to him. The people had to determine, at that moment, whom they would serve. It was a moment of great
emotion and turmoil. Now was "decision-time."
There
will be situations and circumstances in our own lives when we will have to make this same decision. It usually is not during a time of tranquility and peace, but it most likely will be a time of
turmoil. Just at that moment we will have to decide. Will we decide for the Lord? Or...?
It is
necessary for us to think of these times before they occur. We must determine in our hearts to always choose Him. Then, when the time of testing occurs, we will not have to think. We can simply react
and say, "I choose the Lord!" Let our walk be always rooted in Him, and we will know where our salvation lies!
