                            GIRD YOUR MINDS

"Therefore, gird your minds for action, keep sober in spirit, fix your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ."

                                                                  1 Peter 1:13

As we walk through this life that the Lord has given us, we must be aware that it is not just a stroll. Yes, there will be many times of adversity, and there will be many times of blessing. God is good that He never allows us to be tempted more than we are able to overcome.

But, as Peter shared, we must have our minds girded for action. We must be ready to fight the good fight of faith. To do so. we must be sober in our spirit, realizing that our time in this life is one of overcoming.

Thank God, though, for the grace that comes. His divine, unmaerited strength that sees us through as we know who we are in Christ Jesus. We are empowered by the same Spirit that raised Christ from the grave. That Spirit will strengthen and guide us through all! Praise God !!
