THE SPIRITUAL MIND
But a natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God; for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually
appraised...... For who has known the mind of the Lord, that He should instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ.
Corinthians 2:14, 16
It is necessary that we, as children of God, learn the difference between the spiritual and the
carnal mind. For too many people try to read the Bible and understand what is said when they have not become a Christian. We, as children of God, try to talk with them to explain the word. Yet they
do not hear, understand, or accept the things of the word.
This is because they do not have the mind of Christ! To understand the word of God or
understand the teaching of Christ, they must first be converted in order to receive revelation. The first revelation they must have is the truth that they are lost and must come to Father through
Jesus Christ. They must be "saved" and receive the Spirit of God. Then they will be able to study the word and grow in grace and wisdom.
This does not mean we should not try to share deeper things with the lost. But, it does
mean that we cannot expect full understanding or acceptance of the truth. Therefore, saints, let's share Jesus and Him crucified for them. Then, we can go on to deeper
things!
