                       TO SERVE IS OUR GOAL

"It is not so among you, but whoever wishes to become great among you shall be your servant, and whoever wishes to be first among you shall be you slave; just at the Son of Man did not come to be served but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many."

                             Matthew 20:26-28

The principles of the Kingdom of God are opposing to those of this world. In this worldly realm, people work hard to "get ahead" so that others will serve them; will work for them! The nature of man, being opposed to the Kingdom, desires that he might be served and given high place and much authority.

But, in the Kingdom of our Lord, this is not so. Those who want to be "great" must learn how to serve. Serving others causes one to put their needs above one's own. If you are tired, you can take the grace of God and continue to serve even in your tireness. One should never be too tired to help someone who needs help.

To serve others, it is necessary to put their needs above your own. We need to look at the other person's situation before we say we can't help. It may only be a moment of conversation to life someone's spirit, or it may be a need re-quiring greater investment of self. Regardless of the need, there will be a blessing for those who are willing to serve others.

                                          Apostle James
