OBEDIENCE UNTO GOD
but emptied Himself (laid aside His privileges) taking the form of a bond-servant, and
being made in the likeness of men, and being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.
Phil. 2:7-8
Our Lord Jesus was enthroned in heaven in all of His glory. Yet, when Father asked Him to
go and be a perfect sacrifice, He obeyed and came. Because of His actions of being obedient even to the death that He suffered, mankind was able to become reunited to Father God. To do this, Jesus
had to humble Himself and obey.
Now He reigns once more in the heavens seated at the right hand of Father. After His
obedience and suffering, He was blessed and exalted by Father. But He had to go through the process. This is to be an example for us as we seek to follow our Lord.
As we seek to follow Father and spread the Kingdom, we, too, will face times of trial.
These, as shown in the Word of God, are for our training and for our good. As we go through them just as Jesus went through His trials, we will be changed by how we do. As we seek to please Him, take
His grace, and overcome in every trial, we will grow in His image. We will come through the trial victorious and exalting Father for His strength and favor. His blessing will be upon
us!
Apostle James
