ONE
IN CHRIST
For even as the Body is one and yet has many members, and all the members of the body,
though they are many, are one body, so also is Christ. member, but many For the body is not one But now God has placed the members, each one of them, in the body just as He desired. But now there are
many members, but one body.
I Cor 12:12, 14, 18, 20
In Christ Jesus, the multitude which has been called to the kingdom are a mighty number.
Yet, since they are called in one Spirit, they become one. As saints of God, we should have the same attitudes, values, morals, etc. But most importantly, we should have the same Holy Spirit
indwelling us which brings us together as one.
One of the above scriptures says that God has placed each member in the body as He desired.
That is, He has a purpose for us in the body. We bring our grace and giftings to the body to build up the body. Others have giftings which will build us up. Then we can all become one in Christ. We
can learn to depend on each other knowing that the Christ in me will contribute to each, and we can receive strength from each.
We, as His children, should be able to come together to encourage, exhort, and console the
others. We have an obligation to place others of the body in high esteem. Father has called us together to build up our brethren.
