GOD'S LOVE FOR HIS
CREATION
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should
not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through Him.
John 3:16-17
During the Christmas season, the minds of many become very aware of what they may be giving others
or very concerned about what they may receive. For many, Christmas has become a "gifting" time. For too many, it is about what we will get hoping that it is that "major" item.
But have we, as Christians, taken the time to think about the greatest gift we have been given.
This is the gift of eternal life with Father in heaven through Jesus Christ, His Son. Now all people will have eternal life. It is just a matter of where one will be for all eternity. For those who
do not receive Christ as Lord, it will be an eternity away from God's presence.
Because of His great love, Father God has made a way for us to spend eternity with Him. First, out
of an abundance of His great love, He made a way for us to receive eternity with Him. He sent His Son to die for us. What greater love could one have than to give His own child for
us.
Without that gift, we could not come to God! But, because of the gift of Jesus, we can. As we
celebrate this season, let us spend more time pondering what it means to be a child of God!
