                                         HE MUST BE LIFTED UP

 And no one has ascended into heaven, but He who decended from heaven, even the Son of Man. And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up that whoever believes many in Him have eternal life.

                                          John 3:13-15

     Jesus was speaking to a leader of the Jews trying to explain things concerning Himself. In this statement. He was showing that no one can or has gone to heaven to know Father. Jesus went on to show that He was there and came down to the earth to visit mankind. But, He was to be lifted up (on the cross) just as the serpent was in the wilderness to be a salvation for the people.

   As the people looked upon the serpent they were healed! Jesus was saying that people who looked to Him and believed in Him would be healed also. They would be healed and saved from the penalty of death because of their sins! And if they believed, then they would have eternal life in Him! Praise the Lord!

   Saints, we must continue to lift Jesus up before people so that they may be saved and have eternal life in Him!
