SOWING AND REAPING
Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh shall from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit shall from the Spirit reap eternal life.
We know that when a farmer sows seed, the seed goes into the ground and begins to grow. After coming to maturity, the crop is reaped
The principle- you reap the crop sowed. If you plant corn, you reap corn. The point of Paul's comments are that man has a choice. If man wants eternal life, then he must plant things which will lead to that harvest!
The Word is clear that in our flesh is no good thing. If we give to that impulse and sow to our flesh, then we will reap the crop of sin. Sin brings forth death and lack of peace in this life. This will bring the judgment of the Lord particularly at the final day!
If we sow to the things of the Spirit, then we will reap those things! In this life, that will mean a clear conscience, praise from God, and peace within our own lives. Our choice should be clear. Sow to the Spirit!
