THE LIVING
WATER OF LIFE
.... Jesus stood and cried out, "If any man is thirsty let him come to Me and drink. He who
believes in Me, as the Scripture saith, 'From his innermost being shall flow rivers of living water." But this He spoke of the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were to
receive....
John 7:37b-39a
Jesus spoke many times in parables because the believer would hear and receive but nonbeliever would
not understand because of unbelief. This is one of those instances. Jesus, as explained in the word, was speaking of the Holy Spirit.
We, who believe in Jesus and receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit, have the Spirit as a spring which
flows continually out of our spirit. But we must believe and receive of the things of the Spirit. If we quench the revelation and the wisdom of the Spirit, then we will not have the living
water.
Saints, we must cultivate the relationship with Holy Spirit! We must welcome Him and His work in our
lives! That comes from obedience to His leading. As we obey and do, then He will increase in our lives and will overflow into rivers of love and work!
