THE PROMISE OF FATHER
He commanded them not to leave Jerusalem, but to wait for what the Father had promised, "Which," He said, "you heard from Me; for John baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now."
The promise of Father of which Jesus spoke would be the giving of Holy Spirit to believers. The Holy Spirit of God would come to "Baptize" the fellowers of Jesus and to endue them with His power. This power would be to live an overcoming, victorious life and to give glory to Christ Jesus.
To receive the power of Holy Spirit, we will need to be willing to give all to Jesus and to follow and to be what Father would have us to be. Holy Spirit will then empower us to overcome in every battle! We can live in power and in Victory!
Pentecost was the day on which His Spirit was given to His Children. As we celebrate that gift on this Pentecost day, we need to gratefully thank Father for sending us Holy Spirit! Through His Spirit, let's live for Him!
