                             THE NEW BIRTH

     Jesus answered and said to him, "Truly, truly, I say to you unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." ... Jesus answered again, "Truly, truly, I say to you unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God."

                                                   John 3:3,5

     Jesus spoke to Nicodemus and tried to explain that a complete new beginning is necessary if one is to come into kingdom life. We are born naturally into this world. We grow and learn the "ways of this world." Our thinking and acting must change before we can enter into the kingdom of our Lord. But, to do this (relearning), we must become totally new. 

     When we truly believe in Jesus and His work to save us, we can begin our walk into the spiritual. Until then, we are still thinking as the world. We must be "born again."

     When this happens, we can be water baptized where the old man dies  and the new arises. We can be baptized in the Holy Spirit who becomes our guide to teach us how to think by the Spirit. As we grow in Christ and learn His way, we then become truly "a new creature." Allow Him to do His work in you!
