                         Putting Kingdom first

...and Jesus, looking around, said to His disciples, "How hard it will be for those who are wealthy to enter the kingdom of God.

                                              Mark 10:23

This response by Jesus to His disciples came as a young, rich man wanted to know what he needed to do to inherit eternal life. When the man did not like Jesus' response to sell all he had and give it away, the man left and did not follow Jesus.

This situation concerned the matter of wealth, but, saints, it could be anything which we place in importance before Jesus and the kingdom of God. We must place Jesus and the kingdom before all other things. Jesus even said that we are to leave mother and/or father for Him.

Saints, we need to take time to reflect to see if there is anything which we are putting first other than Jesus and His kingdom. If there is, then we must determine in our hearts what is truly important. Eternity with God in His kingdom should be in our heart. If we place Him first, then all other things will be granted!!
