WALKING IN HIM

     As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord so walk

in Him, having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him

and established in your faith, just as you were instructed and

overflowing with gratitude. 

                                         Colossian 2:6-7

     Several thoughts concerning our salvation and life in Christ are given here. These are very important for us if we are to be pleasing to Him as His Brethren.

     In these verses, it affirms that we are "family rooted" in Him. As a plant, we must root deeply if we are to thrive. Here Paul states that we are rooted deeply in Him!

     Next, it states that we are being "built up in Him." As we grow and learn more of who He is and what He has done for us and how it affects us in our walk so that we can become stronger in Him!

     Finally, we are being "established in our faith." As we witness the things He has done and does now for us, it builds our faith so that we can walk knowing that all the promises to us are "yea and amen in Christ." Our faith arises for the next step in Him!
