                    THE POWER OF FORGIVENESS

     For if you forgive men for their transgressions, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.

                                                Matthew 6:14

     This is sometimes called an "If, then" statement. If one thing happens, then another follows. Forgiveness is such an action. When forgiveness is given, than great things began to take place.

     First, when we forgive someone for hurting us, we can be set free from harmful emotions which can create great blocks for us spiritually, emotionally, etc. Unforgiveness causes bitternes, anger,and resentment within us. These things can cause great spiritual and emotional setbacks. When we forgive, we can release these things and be freed from them.

     Second, when we forgive, the Father God forgives us. This brings a right relationship with Him as we are in obedience to Him. This freedom in our relationship with Him opens the door for growth in all areas of our spiritual life so that we can walk in His glory and in His blessing.

So, saints, let us practice what Jesus said. Forgive and receive the blessing of what that will bring.
