                      THE LORD IS MY SALVATION

The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the defense of my life; whom shall I dread?.... Though a host encamp against me, my heart will not fear; though war arise against me, in spite of this, I shall be confident.

                                                     Psalm 27:1,3

In this psalm, David expresses the heart of every believer. Our hope and faith are in our Lord!

He is my light! That is, He reveals the way for me to go. He is my salvation! He saves me and keeps me from my enemy.

Since the Lord is my defense, I do not need to fear any that would come against me. Though the enemy would send a host to battle me, the Lord will set up a defense to protect me.

Fear can be our greatest enemy, Not knowing what may happen; the unknown of situations; the uncertainty of the future; all of these can cause us anxiety! That is, if we allow them to do so. But, if we put our trust in the Lord, He will be a strong fortress for us. He will bring light to our circumstance. Though war rises up against us, we shall be confident in our God!
