GOD'S TIMING
For
thus says the Lord, "When seventy years have been completed for Babylon, I will visit you and fulfill My good word to you, to bring you back to this piece."
Jeremiah 29:10
But, when the fullness of time came, God sent forth His son, born of a woman, born under
the law.
Galatians 4:4
The Word is full of references concerning when God will bring an event or a person into His
plan. Some, such as the Babylonian captivity, was given a specific time of 70 years. Others, such as the coming of Jesus, say only that He came in the "fullness" of time. But from these two examples,
we know God works according to a plan.
However, we must never forget the God does not do these in "our time" but in His. That means
that we may be in a situation longer than we want. But God will keep us there until we learn or accomplish what He has for us.
We also must learn that we cannot tell God when to do something. He has a perfect time for His
kingdom plan, and it will be the best time for us and for all involved. So, take His offer of patience and joy and rest!!
