Now it shall be, if you will diligently obey the Lord your God, being careful to do all His commandments which I command you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, if you will obey the Lord your God!

                                                      Deut. 28:1-2

"It shall be" is the promise while the "if you obey" is the condition. With Father there is the condition of obedience if we are to be a favored child.

With too many people, the promises are read and joyously received. But the condition is overlooked or cast aside. With Father, this is not a negotiable item. To receive, we must obey!

Obedience is a word that is difficult for many people to receive. It speaks to them of subduing the "self" to another. If there is any rebellion in them at all, they will fight against the directive.

However, if we understand that Father always know what is best for us, then we should strive to obey for our good! He will lead us to life!

Also, if we are truly wanting to glorify Jesus, we must be obedient! As we obey, we will show His love and wisdom to all!
