SHOUTS OF GRACE
Then he answered and said to me, "This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel saying, 'Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,' says the Lord of hosts. 'What are you, o great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you will become a plain; and he will bring forth the top stone with shouts of "Grace, grace to it?"
As the Lord spoke through Zechariah to Zerubbabel, He gave great encouragement and strength for the building of the temple to go forward. As the people were discouraged by trials in the building, they had quit and laid down their tools. The Lord spoke and said these things to encourage them to continue onward!
Father wanted them to know that it would not be by their strength, but it would be by His Spirit that they would do the work! God will give us a task but it will take His power to accomplish it. When we go in His power and not our own, then we will go in His grace and by His Spirit. If we go in our strength, we will soon be tired and will give up.
Let's do as Zechariah told Zerubbabel and shout "Grace, grace to it!"
