MEMORIAL DAY REMEMBRANCE

This is My commandment, that you love one another, just as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.

                                                           John 15:12-13

     Jesus commanded that we love (agape) one another. Agape love is the greatest form of love. It is the love than is willing to give sacrificially. This love gives even when it means that there will be a personal cost for the giver. This is the love Jesus personified when He gave His life on the cross that those who receive Him could be forgiven and live with Him in eternity.

     As Christians, we should exhibit this love for our brethren. We should love others as Christ loved us and gave His life. We should be willing to give and share just as Christ was willing to share and give.

     This weekend,  Memorial Day, Americans celebrate those who have willingly given all for this nation. In wars and other forms of actions, men and women have died to keep this nation safe and free. Those of us who enjoy this freedom should honor the memory of those who lost all to preserve it! Praise God for them! Let us honor them!
