HIS PRESENCE BRINGS BLESSING

     Now it as told King David, saying, "The Lord has

blessed the house of Obed-edom and all that belongs

to him, on account of the work of God." And David

went and brought up the ark of God from the house of

Obed-edom into the city of David with gladness.

                                             II Samuel 6:12

     David knew that the presence of the Lord was where

the ark was. Also, he knew that where the presence of

the Lord is. there is blessing. So for him, as one who

loved God, he wanted to be where the presence was as

this would be the place of God's blessing.

     In the time of David, before the Holy Spirit had been

given, God's presence was with the ark. But now,

praise the Lord, the Spirit of God resides in the people of

God. We are now the temple of God and His Spirit indwells

us.

     But, just as then, where the Spirit of the Lord is, there

is blessing. If we will, as David, honor the Lord and seek His

presence, then Father's blessing will be ours in abundance!
