LOSING GOD'S FAVOR

Indeed the army of the Arameans came with a small number of men; yet the Lord delivered a very great army into their hands, because they ( the Jews) had forsaken the Lord, the God of their fathers. Thus they executed judgment on Joash.

                                            2 Chronicles  24:24

     When God's children walk in obedience to Him and honor Him as King, then He will bless, protect, and honor them. They will receive from Him the best that He can bestow upon them.

     However, if they reject and forsake Him, then the blessing is lost. Joash was king of Judah, a descendant of David. The blessing of God and of David's house could have been His. But he chose to forsake God and become disobedient!

     This, saints, can be a great lesson for us today. Father's blessing is upon us as we honor Him and walk in obedience. If we turn aside and pursue other gods, then we will not remain in the blessing. We will be turning away from the God of creation! We will be forsaking the one true God who loves us and desires to walk with us! Why not choose to honor Him and walk in the path which leads to life!
