                            YIELDING TO GOD

    And I also heard a voice saying to me," Arise Peter; kill and eat. "But I said, "By no means, Lord, for nothing unholy or unclean has ever entered my mouth." But a voice from heaven answered a second time, "What God has cleansed, no longer consider unholy."

                                                 Act 11: 7-9

     When the Lord was telling Peter that He wanted him to go and  share with the Roman centurion, God presented Peter with a delima. Should I listen to the voice of God or should I continue my tradition? At first Peter resisted. But later he relented and went. As a result, the church and the world were changed so that the word concerning Jesus went to "all of the world." The whole world was blessed.

     While it is necessary for the church to stay firm in her commitment to the Lord and His commands, we must not become so entrenched that we cannot be given new direction from Father. It is our responsibility to determine what God is saying rather than holding stubbornly to man's tradition! God is doing a new thing in the earth and we, His people, must be available to Him!
